About Michelle

Michelle was born in the Mexican city of Ciudad Juarez. She immigrated to Longview, TX, at seven years old as a permanent resident and went on to become a proud Texan and United States Citizen. Michelle is a businesswoman; the Operations Director for her family’s roofing company, Roof Care. A graduate of Spring Hill ISD and Texas A&M University, Michelle has always felt called to service. Michelle serves on various community boards like Longview Community Ministries and Longview Museum of Fine Arts. She also serves as Fund Development Chair for the Junior League of  Longview, is a Court-Appointed Special Advocate and Vice Chair of the Legislative Advocacy Team with East Texas CASA, volunteers and worships at New Beginnings Baptist Church, is a Rotarian at Longview Greggton Rotary and more. Michelle has received many awards and recognitions for service such as the East Texas CASA Purple Heart Award 2020 for Child Advocacy, 2019 Texas A&M Political Science Former Student Spotlight, Texas A&M 12 under 12 2019 nominee, 40 Under 40 Philanthropist/NonProfit 2021 Top 3 Finalist, Miss Longview Latina 2021, Miss Networking Latina 2021 and more.
